On Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 of June 2019 the Steering Committee of CUDIMHA - made up of two representatives (i.e. one scientific, one administrative) per project partner and chaired by the project coordinator, namely UNIMOL - met in Rome for the project first Steering Committee meeting. The meeting was hosted by Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma (UNINT) in Rome, Italy.
Besides having a general overview by each WP leader concerning the criticalities and progress of each deliverable, the meeting was of paramount importance to finalise the decisions made in April during the previous meeting in Brno concerning the Master’s structure. The Universities of Carthage, Sfax, Gabès and Monastir jointly worked with the European partners in order to reach a definitive agreement upon the issue. Many steps towards a final definition of the Master’s structure and its Teaching Units were made.
Before meeting again in Sfax in December to start the Master’s accreditation process, Tunisian partners will gather again in July with the aim of agreeing a final version of the Master’s contents.
Finally, other issues related to the project financial and administrative procedures were discussed, especially during the morning of the second day.
The afternoon was instead devoted to a site visit to the Catacombs of St. Callixtus, located near the University, in the centre of Rome, that UNINT organised for all the group. The visit was very interesting and served as a positive and fruitful occasion to deepen and improve the ties and connections among project partners, whilst providing all the guests with the possibility to visit one of the best known Roman catacombs, which are part of the Roman archaeological heritage.
